True Miracle Stories
by Deb Matthews
Welcome! Here's another true miracle story from my collection of things that have really happened to me (including stories about miracles, angels, Civil Air Patrol and God's love and blessings). This one is about the Lord causing a storm to split and go around us while on a Civil Air Patrol training weekend.
When Storm Clouds Divided

Although I live in western Washington, for a year and a half, I taught Land Search and Rescue for the Civil Air Patrol's eastern Washington training camp.
On one particular weekend training exercise, as I brought my group of cadets out to our training site near Ephrata, Washington, I was disappointed to see a dark front of storm clouds gathering and heading our way.
With a sigh, I said "Not this weekend, Lord!" I don't remember why, but for some reason, I just wanted this particular weekend to go well, without any complications.
"Lord, please, let these storm clouds just go around us, and not hit us," I prayed.
Then without any further thought about it, I set about giving the cadets directions and we set up camp.
It didn't rain on us that night, and the next day we woke up to clear skies above us. Oddly enough, though, it was raining hard in the near distance on either side of us. The storm clouds had truly divided and were going around us, leaving us completely untouched.
